Aviko to make tracks with Brass tactics
With a market share in Europe of 20%, Aviko has charged Brass with helping it to promote its UK and Eire foodservice business and increase its market share against competitors such as McCain, Lamb Weston and Farm Frites.
Brass will be providing fully integrated marketing support including advertising, insight, field marketing, pr, direct mail, promotional marketing and digital.
The two key priority markets it will be targeting are the education sector, with the Aviko Steam & Fresh range and the full service arena focusing on freetrade pubs with a diverse range of value added potato products.
Brass was appointed after a three way pitch and work will begin on the six figure account in February.
Paul McGann, managing partner at Brass, said: "Our research suggests that there is a huge opportunity to grow sales for Aviko within foodservice. They offer the ideal proposition of quality, innovation and convenience that busy chefs and catering staff are looking for."
Mohammed Essa, sales director at Aviko, added: "Aviko are delighted to be working with the team from Brass. We believe that Brass will support our ambitions for growth within the UK and Eire foodservice market particular with full service and education channels."
Aviko is part of Royal Cosun, which was set up by Dutch farmers over 100 years ago and now has an annual turnover of more than EUR 1.7 billion.
