Shining Wit lauches Rare Venues
Marketers seeking ‘unknown’ venues for events with additional pizzazz in London and beyond can now look to Rare Venues, a new initiative from events production business Shining Wit.
Shining Wit’s primary focus has been stylish event production but experience negotiating with commercial properties in the past, seeking property that is not on the typical event venue broker’s list, has left MD Matt Briggs with a legacy of insight into potential venue that few can match.
Realising this, he has launched Rare Venues to formalise Shining Wit’s accumulated venues knowledge and existing relationships with commercial property owners. Many of the properties that can be booked are currently unoccupied commercial spaces, set in spectacular locations.
Rare Venues has a list of properties on its website, and part of the beauty of the project is the transience of most of them, ensuring a strong sense of exclusivity for event hosts. Many (though not all) are not suited to event planners who want to book a venue a year in advance, but Rare Venues has agreements in place with all their properties that typically guarantees event bookings for several months ahead..
Current examples of Rare Venues include Brettenham House overlooking Waterloo Bridge and The Angel Building located between the City and Kings Cross.
The business will also offer properties in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Rare Events is the first step in planned diversification for Shining Wit. The agency will announce new initiatives in coming weeks that will extend Shining Wit’s current remit. “Each new business development will pick up on Shining Wit’s creative reputation for bringing in new concepts to event experiences,” says Briggs.
