Gekko tours with Zanussi cookers
Gekko is on the road demonstrating Zanussi’s range of cookers. Celebrity Italian chef Gino D’Acampo is headlining the campaign which features competitions to win D’Acampo pan sets and a signed recipe. D’Acampo will put in a personal appearance on 2nd April when the tour arrives at the Bullring, Birmingham for Gino Live, where he will demonstrate pasta making and recipes using Zanussi.
The tour, which is already underway, features key retailers and retail parks including: ; Comet, Currys, Euronics, DRL, Focus, John Lewis, Coop plus other regional multiples and independents. The promotion will also run in Ireland with major retailers like Expert, DID Electrical and Harvey Norman also taking part.
The Zanussi display at retail parks around the UK and Ireland will feature a traditional Italian delivery van with products on display and a large screen running a video of the pan and book offer with Gino D’Acampo announcing how to enter the competition to win a unique recipe.
All locations bar the Bullring, Birmingham have been chosen for proximity to a stockist.
The Bullring event is a trial by Zanussi and Gekko to see whether the Zanussi brand will connect well with customers whilst they are leisure shopping – using live brand experience.
The campaign is supported by a microsite advertising the competition and locations: http://www.promotionsupport.co.uk/ROADSHOW.html
