E.ON Energy Fit Experience tours with RPM
Full service brand engagement agency RPM has created the E.ON Energy Fit Experience, which forms part of E.ON’s multichannel Energy Fit campaign. The experience is an interactive touring event designed to demonstrate and encourage easily achievable energy savings in the home. The experience ties in to E.ON’s sponsorship of The FA Cup and is targeted at all consumers.
The E.ON Energy Fit Experience gives families the opportunity to learn more about energy saving in the home as well as the chance to have their photo taken with The FA Cup and win exclusive FA Cup prizes.
To tie energy savings and E.ON sponsorship further, RPM has created ‘The Big Boil’ kettle, which sits at the heart of this activity, highlighting the number of kettles that are turned on during half time and the potential cost savings which can be made as a nation if people only boiled what they need.
Other interactive elements of the experience include:
- The energy fit squad - E.ON experts who will be on hand to help you understand how you can save energy and money around the home, and with the unique “energy convertor” show you what you could buy with what you’ve saved
- Fans have the opportunity to test their speed, reaction time and agility on the E.ON Energy Saves game. Highest scorer can win a mascot place for a child in their family at Wembley
- A bespoke commentary booth where budding football commentators can see if they can talk a good game as they recreate special Cup moments to share with their friends
- Meet and greet FA Cup football legends
In each local area, E.ON will use DM to contact 7,000 of its loyal customers, offering them VIP passes to the experience, giving them priority access. Free energy efficient giveaways also include an E.ON PowerDown plug and a ShowerSave.
Phil Boas, head of sponsorship at E.ON said of the campaign: “E.ON is challenging the way consumers see energy companies. Instead of a hard sell, we want to educate and empower consumers to become more ‘Energy Fit’, no matter who their energy supplier is. Consumers are constantly told to act responsibly and to save energy but many people simply don’t understand what they need to do to make this happen. We want to give them the tools and the advice they need in order to save on their energy bills. We tasked RPM with devising a creative and different approach this year that incorporated our FA Cup sponsorship.”
Dom Robertson, managing director, RPM added: “Utility companies work in a very price driven industry, meaning they typically have low interest and low loyalty from their customers. E.ON is taking a really proactive approach to engaging customers in the issues that matter to them.
“We know from last year’s programme of Talking Energy Live events that the live experience provides a brilliant opportunity to engage consumers. With fully trained E.ON staff on hand at every event, the E.ON Energy Fit Experience should build on the momentum of last year’s activity.”
The E.ON Energy Fit Experience will be taking place at the following locations:
- London O2
- Nottingham Victoria Centre
- Sheffield Meadowhall
- Manchester Arndale Centre
- Birmingham Bullring
