Students engaged in Nightlife production by RPM
Ahead of the extended Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project 2011, RPM approached the leading spatial design team at Hatfield University to give students the chance to get involved in the innovative campaign.
Hatfield University’s spatial design team were given a £4,000 budget from the National Union of Students to design, produce and implement a bespoke area at the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange event that took place in Hatfield on 25th March 2011.
The collaboration forms part of RPM’s commitment to support young creative talent. Senior members of the RPM creative team judged the students’ work and the successful candidate worked alongside the RPM Production team in the build and implementation of the area.
After the successful launch of the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project at The Troxy last November, drawing 2,000 people to see acts such as Zane Lowe, the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project has toured through Edinburgh and Hatfield and next heads to Swansea and Southampton. Locations were voted for by the public via Facebook. www.facebook.com/smirnoffgb
Neil Hooper, creative director at RPM added: “RPM are always looking for new ways to work with and support the development of bright young creatives. The fresh input from those aspiring to join the marketing industry and the skills of our experienced production team makes a powerful combination. The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project has had a high level of consumer input from the word go, so it made perfect sense to get local students to contribute to this event. ”
