New bamboo banners offer environmental option for marketing outdoors
Bamboo can now be used as a sustainable fabric alternative to PVC for outdoor promotions. The new biodegradable signage is available from Sherwood Signmakers in the UK and have a guaranteed 3 month lifespan outdoors, making them ideal for Summer roadshows.
Their bamboo fabric banners offer a highly efficient and effective method of display, whilst being an incredible 99.6% biodegradable.

The bamboo used to create the products is grown on an organically farmed plantation, rather than being taken from forests. It is a hardy, fast growing easily renewable resource that provides a strong and durable fibre for the fabric of the promotional displays.
“The fabric we use for our bamboo banners is manufactured in an environmentally friendly closed loop process” explains Paul, “which means 100% of raw materials and wastes are recycled back into the production sequence. The process has been tested and certified to be free of harmful substances according to the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use.”
As the banners are made from biodegradable fabric they do not have limitless lifespan, but Sherwood Signmakers Ltd do guarantee them for a specific period of time, as Paul explains: “We offer a guarantee of three months on the banners when used outdoors.
