Tiny solar cinema presents brand experience sponsorship opportunity
Media and marketing search engine Getmemedia.com has announced an innovative sponsorship opportunity: the Sol Cinema, the world's smallest solar powered cinema.
The Sol Cinema is a micro movie house powered entirely by the sun. It uses an LED projector, with lithium batteries to store the energy from the sun to power the cinema all day and night. The photovoltaic panels harness the sunlight, even as the films are being shown so they never run out of power, however, it also arrives with fully charged batteries with enough power to run the cinema even if the sun isn't shining.
The cinema can accommodate eight adults comfortably to enjoy its vast library of comedy films, quirky music videos and short movies with inspirational environmental themes, and experience this in unique surroundings.
In the past 12 months, the non-profit project from the award-winning charity Undercurrents has appeared at Aylesford Music Festival, Sheffield Film Festival, Malvern Garden Show, Hampshire Green Fair, Swansea Waterfront Museum, Barbican Arts Gallery and T in the Park.
Pete Davis, managing director of Getmemedia.com commented: "The Sol Cinema is a unique opportunity for a brand to either sponsor the cinema or utilise it for brand experiences at festivals and events around the UK. At a time when more and more brands are concerned with aligning themselves with more ethical and environmentally friendly practices, this is the perfect
sponsorship opportunity."
The headline sponsorship will include naming rates and the use of the cinema at events across the year. The sponsorship will include delivery of a cinema powered entirely by renewable energy, staff, including an usherette, solar power display, and a wide selection of films.
