LG combines brand experience tour and direct sales instore for Optimus
LG has been hitting the road through May with a shopping centre tour that is carefully co-ordinated with an in store expertise programme that is designed to turn the brand experience into direct sales. The promotion has a joined up brand experience and field marketing sales strategy.
A series of shopping centre roadshows through May has been showcasing LG’s latest range of smartphones and offering consumers the chance to try out our innovative new technologies.
Starting earlier this month on 12th May in Manchester’s Trafford Centre, the pop-up stand includes the latest smartphones from the new top-end Optimus range, including the LG Optimus 2X, the world’s first phone with a dual-core processor and the LG Optimus Black, one of the slimmest, brightest phones on the market. Handsets are displayed on a ‘device bar’ allowing shoppers to play with the phones at their leisure with LG Crew Customer on hand with expert advice.
A dedicated family area on the stand keeps the kids entertained whilst also promoting one of the great features of the Optimus 2X - visitors can connect it to TVs to play the latest video games. There is also a competition to win a 42” LG LED TV.
To coincide with the roadshow there will be LG experts in major retailers in the shopping centres, where consumers can gain further information about LG’s new smartphones and available tariff options. LG is also running an exclusive giveaway promotion whereby customers will receive a set of new LG headphones when an LG phone is purchased in any of the stores in the shopping centre.
LG is showcasing the LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus Me, LG Optimus Chat and LG Optimus One:
Alex Windle, head of marketing mobile communications at LG, comments; "We have a great new product range and the roadshow offers us a great opportunity to meet our customers face to face, get valuable feedback on what they want from us and show them our latest smartphones and innovations. We're really excited to meet everyone."
The roadshow has already been to Trafford Centre, Birmingham Bullring and London Westfield. Next weekend it is at Kent’s Bluewater centre before finishing and Bristol’s Cabot Circus from 9-12 June.
Field Marketing will visit this tour for a review in the next magazine issue - out at the end of June
