Energetic event brings Brut force to help Heroes
Unilever brand Brut is to repeat last year's Race for Recovery in aid of the Helpfor Heroes charity. The event is organised by PR firm Neville McCarthy Associatesand produced by Bluedog Productions. It is the second edition of this eventfollowing success in 2010 and the date and location is being advance billed stronglyby Brut using regular radio slots on Talksport.
After last years success Brut will be hosting Race for Recovery again to raise evenmore money for Help for Heroes through a fun day of exercise at the Duke of York'sBarracks in Chelsea, on Saturday 18th June.Like last year, Brut will be bringing the Military Personal Fitness Assessment tothe public. That's 2 minutes of press ups followed by 2 minutes of sit ups and a 1.5mile run. This assessment must be passed by anyone who wants to work in themilitary. so on the day vistors find out if the are fit enough for the military by by taking up this challenge.
Brut has arranged for physical training instructors from British Military Fitness to put visitors through their paces and provide encouragement and guidance on the day. The advance notice encourages "While it may sound daunting most peoplecan do it and we want to see you all there."
Participants pay £10 to take part and then raise as much sponsorship as they can.All money goes straight to Help for Heroes, who provide support to wounded servicemen and women.
Participants get to test themselves against the military standard of fitness andeveryone who takes part will be entered into a prize draw to win 3 months BritishMilitary Fitness membership.The pre-event challenge reads: "Have you got the bottle? If you think you have thencome along and join us and do your bit to help those who really need it. With fourstart times of 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm you can find the time to show us what you'vegot and have a bit of fun at the same time!"
