Google set to impress the media at Cannes with Flourish
Brand experience agency Flourish Creative has been appointed to deliver an experiential campaign for Google at the 2011 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity – the world’s biggest celebration of creativity in communication.
Google are using this year’s Festival as an opportunity to highlight their role as a key strategic and creative partner to the advertising community as well as demonstrating some of the innovative work that is delivered using their platforms.
Flourish have designed and built a range of unique experiences to entertain and educate visitors to the Festival across two main spaces: the Cannes Festival Palais, home to two YouTube areas, and the Creative Sandbox – an immersive environment on the Gray D’Albion beach providing all delegates with the perfect opportunity to enjoy a little beach life.
Delegates within the Palais get the chance to star in their very own remake of a YouTube classic ad, whilst in the Young Lions Zone there is a smoothie bar and lounge for creatives to use as a base whilst honing their entries into the competition.
Visitors to the open-access Creative Sandbox can enjoy the incredible beach location and experience a range of Google powered innovations in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
Over 8,000 media and creative professionals from around 90 countries are expected to attend the week-long festival which kicked off yesterday (Sunday 19th June).
Flourish creative director Guy Tremlett said: “We’re delighted to be working with the good folks at Google on such an exciting project. Presenting cutting edge technology in a beach shack environment has been a challenge we’ve thoroughly enjoyed – fingers crossed the sun keeps shining.”
