whynot! targets fruit farms for Anchor campaign
whynot! are managing eight experiential weekends at farms across the UK to support the incredibly popular ‘Anchor Squirty Cream - Free Punnet of Fruit’ promotion currently in supermarkets.
Presently in the fifth week of an eight week tour, there is a real buzz about the activity. Families from the local areas have flocked to the farms to take advantage of a great day out. Visitors have really interacted with the brand, which displays a colourful, humorous and playful food product aimed at the whole family and especially children. The venues provide the perfect partnership to the product as the addition of fruit to cream is a favourite with everyone and a simple way to get kids to eat one of their five a day. The big open spaces on the farms allow easy positioning of the branded gazebo where visitors can have a go at creating their very own Eton Mess as well as collecting the recipe cards and memento dessert cups.
Of course the most popular attraction is the unique bouncy castle complete with Squirty Cream turrets.
Facebook is integrated into the campaign with photos of families having fun being uploaded to bring the events alive online, as well as extending the memory of the day and enforcing the brand placement of Anchor Squirty Cream.
The Pick a Punnet experiential weekends conclude at Craigie’s Farm, Edinburgh on the 30th and 31st July.
Gail Middleton, senior account director, whynot! describes the campaign;
‘How fantastic is it to work with such an iconic brand in some of the most beautiful parts of the country, watching people have a truly memorable day out? The popularity of Anchor Squirty Cream remains as strong as ever with the British public. The success of the experiential farm days has been a hit with all who have attended. A big thank you also goes out to the weather which has meant we have seen the biggest fruit crop in years!’
