SSG delivers double handset press launch event for HTC
SSG, experts in creating experiential events for the technology industry, have worked closely with HTC to create an immersive brand experience with a twist. Two new handsets were announced to media and the general public – simultaneously (HTC Radar & HTC Titan). Amidst the backdrop of stunning pulsing lights and a specially created score, the phones were revealed with a dramatic and theatrical flourish. HTC interactive demo stations ensured that 700 guests were able to get their hands on the news devices, whilst enjoying an HTC cocktail, some delicious food and tunes from DJ Hot Chip.
With HTC fans queuing from 2pm, the doors opened at 6.30pm and guests entered the clean white space, which throbbed with HTC green and white light. The short, yet dramatic HTC presentation culminated in an impactful product reveal, unveiling specially designed demo stations.
The party then ‘kicked in’, with HTC cocktails being served and a plentiful supply of delicious food. DJ Hot Chip provided a cool soundtrack to the evening, with guests able to enjoy the new HTC phones and have fun with Xbox kiosks.
SSG has been working with HTC for over three years. Roger Smith, managing director, SSG, said, “We really understand the objectives of a mobile launch and with so many HTC fans, it was fantastic to create an experience specifically for them. We combined the drama of impactful lighting, sleek dressing, a theatrical product unveiling, an abundance of interactive demo stations and a big party!”
