Belvedere vodka sampled in charity promotion at airports
Super Premium vodka brand Belvedere has partnered with (Red) to launch a travel retail exclusive campaign at London Heathrow and Gatwick Airport to raise funds to support the Global Fund, the world’s leading financier of programmes to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Blackjack Promotions will be providing staff for the activity, which will include sampling, giveaways and a chance to enter an exclusive competition. The staff will host the bar activity, with a nightclub theme for passengers at Terminal 3, Terminal 4, and Terminal 5 at Heathrow and at the Pillar at Gatwick Airport. Specially trained mixologists will be offering passengers the choice of two Belvedere Vodka-based drinks: Summer Breeze and Raspberry Mule.
The staff will also be on hand to offer passengers the chance to use the “interactive table” where they can access their Facebook profile to update followers on their experience or “Like” Belvedere (Red), enter a competition to visit Ibiza with five friends, view information about the charity or watch a personalised video of the award-winning artist Usher, who has given his backing to the charity. Staff will also be distributing information leaflets, cocktail cards and Red-branded bracelets.
Vicki Gilmour, account manager at Blackjack, commented: “This is an opportunity to raise funds for a very important charity, and whilst this is a serious issue the aim of the activity is to engage and draw the audience in with something fun. We will also be driving sales of Belvedere Red, with 50% of the profits going to the Global Fund.”
The activity was launched on August 24 and will run until September 20.
