Pic2Go launches after trial with assistance from engage
Experiential Marketing resource agency engage have successfully launched new social media photography marketing tool Pic2Go in the UK, following a successful trial.
Pic2Go uses QR code Pictag recognition technology to create personalised Facebook photo experience albums for consumers, and is set to transform data collection during experiential campaigns, as well as allowing easy amplification of experiential activity through Facebook.
During the trial launch engage worked with security software supplier Trend Micro. The activity involved taking pictures of people at Twickenham Stadium during a premiership rugby match. The target audience were asked to hold the tags and make their best ‘Nooo Face’ (the look you would have when you get a virus on your computer).
Consumers then took the Pictag home and redeemed a unique code online. The incentive was a chance to win an iPad 2 and a year’s use of the Trend Micro software for free.
With the objective being to drive traffic to Trend Micro’s Facebook Page and to increase the number of their ‘Likes’ the campaign was a huge success.
Alex Kopfli of engage said, “We were extremely impressed with the results of using Pic2go, which exceeded our own and our client’s expectations. We were especially pleased by how easy and reliable the Pic2go social media photo marketing system was to use. The team needed no special, expensive equipment, and with very little training on the day were able to take many photos with ordinary digital cameras and promote the product in an easy and fun way.”
He continued, “We’re looking forward to offering the same benefits to other experiential and marketing agencies to drive social media engagement.”
